Note to self - Remember to get a lottery ticket this week!!!

They say things come in threes, so hopefully a win on the lottery will be the third of my three wins.  On Friday I won fab candy from Jak Heath - My Memories Suite software.  This morning woke to find that I was the 2nd place winner over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog - Stella Says Sketch - 4 digistamps.

A Happy Bunny

Although I haven't been posting this week, I have been crafting.  Just working on a wee scrapbook album for my daughter, Sarah, who got married last year.  The working title title is - From Gibb to Duncan, starting at my house and finishing at the house her and Mikey live in, with all parts of the build up to the wedding.  So far I have got 4 of the 18 pages done.  Or should I say almost done - all the pages are covered and the front of the pages are done but the writing on the back still has to be done.  But I want to get the fronts done before I head home to Scotland in a couple of weeks time.  My crafting room in Scotland is what you would call minimalist, lol. Mind you gives me a good excuse (like I need one) to buy more crafting goodies.

Speaking about scrapbooking and crafting goodies and the reason why I am a happy bunny.  Last weekend I put my name into the hat for the blog candy that Jak Heath had up for grabs.  In my inbox this morning was the daily post email from Jak, which today's post announced the winner.  When I read the post whose name was there in bright red letters - mine.  I have been humming and haying about purchasing the package for a while now, but don't have to think about it any more.  So chuffed.

Fairy Wishes

Having got the birthday cards for May done and still trying to decide exactly what I want to the for the May wedding card, I made a start on the June birthdays. You might wonder why I am trying to get so far ahead of myself - let me explain. I am heading to bonnie Scotland at the beginning of May and won't be returning to my main craft room until at least the middle of August. Although I do make cards in Scotland I don't have all my bits and pieces there and thus find it a bit more difficult to be creative.

Moonlight Prowl

Since 2006, The Moonlight Prowl, an annual event in my home town of Fraserburgh and an event that I have always wanted to take part in but have never been at home for. This year, however is different, I am going to be in Fraserburgh on the 2nd of June and I will be one of the walkers. I will be walking with my eldest daughter, Tara, and one of my best gal pals, Jane.

Although breast cancer hasn't touched my family (touch wood), I know many who have survived or have succumbed to breast cancer, along with many other forms of cancer. My darling hubby, Billy, is a 25 year survivor whilst my dear brother-in-law, Ian, succumbed to lung cancer in August 2011 after a 3 year battle. I am sure that Ian will be cheering me on. I hope that he will be in good voice as the week before he will be cheering along his son, also called Ian, who is running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in memory of his Dad to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care who provided excellent support to Ian during his battle.

Going back to the Moonlight Prowl since the first Prowl in 2006 they have raised over £460,000 and which has been donated to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Breast Care Centre and, thanks to the support of The Rowett Research Institute and Aberdeen University, a number of potentially life saving and ground breaking research programmes have been established.

Here's a wee peek at the last year's event and for more info on this year's event click here
